Small Town Saturday Night

Watch the video

I live in a small, but growing, town in north Florida, in the
United States. It used to be a retirement town with the closest
entertainment being in Jacksonville or Orlando.

That is changing by the week.

Last night we visited a new development in our little town, called
European Village. In my pocket was the Fuji F10.

The buildings of the village are constructed around a square that
is designed as an entertainment center. No one has moved into
European Village yet. The first occupants will move in next month.

With retail businesses on the lower floor and residential units on
the upper levels, European Village is unique to this part of our state.

The developer invited a local band,"Loosely Strung", to perform in
the village square during Saturday night's open house.

Seen Along Hwy A1A

We visited the Baliker Gallery on Florida Hwy A1A last Saturday. We did not have an opportunity to speak with the artist, Paul Baliker, but we certainly enjoyed touring his gallery and gardens.

My camera, a pocket-size Fuji F10 digital, ran out of storage space before we left the garden, so this video is just a small sampling of what is there. More pictures: Click Here

You can see more of Mr. Baliker's art by visiting his website: http://paulbaliker.com/

Hello

This blog is a test. I am looking to simplify my VLog. I think this layout is more simple than my former all black backgroud.
